In the process of checking my Facebook page to see if I was a new grandma yet,I found an article stating that the 10 best small towns in America had been posted.  Lewiston was number 5!  You can check it out the link at:  http://www.businessinsider.com/the-ten-best-small-towns-in-america-2012-11#5-lewiston-new-york-6 The source is Rand McNally and USA Today, so you know it is not just posted by a local source.  We had 872 votes in 5 categories,  806 of those were for best food!  We have a couple of personal favorites we brag about to our guests when they ask for dining ideas, but you can read comments from reviewers on the link: http://www.bestoftheroad.com/town.do?destinationId=12055 Then again,  you can come try out restaurants for your self.  For those who travel with their canine companions, several of our local eateries have outdoor seating and water bowls for your traveling companion.  We are a very dog friendly Village.  Hope to see you around!
